Bob’s Noodles | November 18, 2008

My co-worker told me about this Taiwanese restaurant in Rockville. I took my mom there for lunch when she was visiting last month and we ordered 2 appetizers, the 3 entree & soup lunch special (about $20), and the shaved ice dessert. Needless to say we had a ton of leftovers.

Oyster Omelette – the best thing we ordered. Standard street food in Taiwan.

Stinky Tofu – also very good, but only for the brave.

Clam Soup – tasty if you like ginger

Spicy Tilapia – too salty, yuck.

Squid & Chinese Celery – simple and delicious.

Shaved Ice -my favorite dessert. I recommend getting red bean, grass jelly, and taro as toppings.

  3. stinky tofu is just fermented tofu but it does actually stink! once you get past the smell it’s actually quite good. i like the fried kind – the best one i’ve ever had was from a street cart in hong kong.

sad about hard times. maybe the arlington one is better?
